Instructions:
Words with God is designed to create a unique quiet time for you each day. Take a blank page and write down today's Scripture reading reference and then read the passages recommended. After reading, highlight one or more passages that resonated with you during the reading. Then user your "action" words from the e-mail. Let these action words act as prompters for how you can respond to today's reading. Write down your response.

Why is this process important?

In the world of exercise there has arisen a number of groups like P90X, Boot Camps (pick a tough name), Crossfit, etc. making money (and muscle) because the system they follow is designed to, well, not follow a system. These groups have created a workout strategy that, in its simplist description, has focused on the core of the body and specializes in muscle confusion. The idea behind focusing on the core is that these are your major muscles and when developed help fight fat the best (and make you look good with a swinsuit on). The idea behind muscle confusion is to keep your muscles/body from getting into a rut and plateau.

I love this definition found in Wikipedia that defines muscle confusion: A training principle that states that muscles accommodate to a specific type of stress (habituate or plateau, also calledhomeostasis) when the same stress is continually applied to the muscles over time, there one must constantly vary exercises, sets, reps and weight to avoid accommodation. The body should never be allowed to accommodate to an exercise to the point where the exercise is ineffective and results are no longer seen. Integrating variety also improves motivation, keeps one mentally fresh, and allows muscles to continually adapt.

Accommodate. That's the word that stuck out to me. I don't want my spiritual muscles to simple "accommodate" the lessons I learn in reading God's word. I want my spiritual muscles to thrive. I want them to explode. So...how do we keep from plateauing and getting in a rut in our walk with Christ? With P90CrossCamp...just kidding, it's Words With God. WWG is designed to work the core part of our spiritual make-up. In order to keep you from plateauing in your walk we have provided ## of words with descriptions to act as prompters for each days Quiet Time. These words are designed to keep you from getting in a rut and doing the same Bible study everyday. Routine is good, but it can often times keep us from actually growing. Adding variety will hopefully make your Quiet Time new and different everyday. And something new and different everyday is motivating and keeps us spiritually fresh and allows our spiritual muscles to continually adapt.

The purpose of this Quiet Time method is to make each day a unique experience as you pursue to become more like Christ. Each day you will receive an email that provides you with the following.

Scripture reference for the day
Daily prayer list...as defined by you each day
A list of two to four random action words that will act as prompters for you to take and apply to your day.

What you need:
Journal and a pen
Bible (I highly encourage you to look up the Scripture reference(s) in your own Bible)
Open mind and heart (there has to be a #3 so this seemed as good as any)
